Co-Founder & CEO

 Alex has worked in the field of Mobile Money and Financial Inclusion in Kenya and Afghanistan, and has 5 years of experience as an M&A, Strategy and Financial consultant at PwC. He holds an MPA in Technology & Economic Development from Columbia University, an MSc in Advanced Computing from Imperial College and a Masters degree in Energy & Telco from CentraleSupelec.


Co-Founder & CFO/CMO

Nthabi worked as a consultant for clients on strategy and investment projects in the energy, telecoms, and agriculture sectors, through stints at Deloitte, ICF International and Analysys Mason. Her passion for building homegrown solutions to the continent’s most pressing challenges has brought her to work across East, West & South Africa. She holds a Masters in Energy Finance and Policy from Columbia University and a B.Sc. in Finance from UCT.


Co-Founder & COO

Eric Silverman has previously worked in Sierra Leone for nearly four years with Peace Corps and ACDI/VOCA, in addition to stints in Kenya and Tanzania. He holds an MIA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA from Skidmore College. He is fluent in Krio and Temne. He enjoys a good jollof rice, Freetown’s many beaches, and smiles on new customers’ faces.


Customer Care Manager

Steven is a customer service guru. He spearheaded the establishment of the Customer Service Department at Smart Mobile, supporting it in becoming Sierra Leone's third largest telecom network. He has over 7 years of experience in the telecoms sector through his work at Smart and Airtel. He is a people person at heart, who has a particular passion for the role solar can play in education in the country. He holds degrees in Sociology and Adult Education from Fourah Bay College.


Territory Sales Manager

Robert has extensive experience in designing and implementing last mile rural marketing and distribution strategies across Sierra Leone over the last 8 years. Through his work with the Sierra Leone Social Marketing and Development Agency (SLaDA), a major lifestyle and health brand was able to establish a 60% market share with a retail presence in all 14 of Sierra Leone's districts. 


Territory Sales Manager (Bombali/Koinadugu)

Shamsu's commitment to developing and building rural communities in Sierra Leone, is evidenced by his prior work experience across the country with Global Fund, eHealth and USAID projects. He believes electrification is key to sustainable economic growth in communities that have been largely neglected. Shamsu holds a BSc (honors) in Agricultural and Rural Development Economics.
